Researching relevant topics and develop legislative proposals. Tracking pending legislation. Drafting legislative correspondence in response to constituent inquiries. Performing common office duties such as answering phone calls and sorting mail. Must have strong analytical and communication skills, with an emphasis on writing, demonstrated experience with local, state, or federal government and knowledge of the legislative process (coursework in public policy, political science, or other relevant field is acceptable). A bachelor's degree is preferred. $30,000 to $35,000 per year.
