Consulting with physicians on nutrition support requests; planning and supervising the preparation of special diets and menus; maintaining safe and sanitary conditions; training or assisting individuals, families and staff to plan specialized and therapeutic nutrition care plans. Oversight the service of food; assist in the instruction of students or interns in medical nutrition therapy and food preparation techniques, supervise dietetic interns, technicians and food preparation service unit. Must be reachable for appointment on the current Civil Service eligible list for the title; or have permanent status as a Dietitian 2 and be eligible for lateral transfer; or be eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration or New York State Education Department certification in dietetics-nutrition and 400 hours of supervised practice are required. $ 56604 to $ 71980 per year.
