On the eve of Father's Day in Coney Island, in the amphitheater near the waterfront, an awards ceremony was held for remarkable men who have done a lot for the communities of South Brooklyn and our entire city.
The event was hosted by Brooklyn's 46th District Leader and State Assembly candidate Dionne Brown-Jordan. State Senator Dian Savino also presented certificates of honor to the awardees. City Council deputy Ari Kagan addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. I am always pleased when representatives of various communities working for the benefit of New Yorkers are rewarded.
